Friday was a miserable day but Saturday was pretty good for lake sailing with a taxing north easterly blowing steadily all day.

3 visitors joined 5 home boats and Tracy and Gemma proceeded to show the locals round the lake. They didn’t have it all there own way and lost the lead occasionally for a leg or two. In the last race they had to battle hard with Neal and Keith before pulling clear. Ian Stone, not yet in his teens, sailed really well, and crewed by Tony easily won the non spinnaker trophy. It was good to see Neal’s new boat on the circuit and also the beginnings of a resurgent local fleet at Taplow.
