Saturday 19th June - Killington Lake Sailing Association The Event : A one day event, with three races. Briefing at 10am, with the first race at 11am. Two Races to Count Entry fee: £10 per dinghy. About the Club: Killington Lake is located in the SE Lake District, near Kendal. The lake is about 40 Ha. is a header reservoir for the Lancaster-Kendal canal. The clubhouse opened in July 2001. How to get there: SE Cumbria Just off Junction 37 on the M6. Turn east on the A684, Take 1st turn right after 1/4 mile. Then 2nd right after 1/2 mile, follow lakeshore to dinghy park and clubhouse. Click for map Postcode for SATNAV is LA8 0NW Accommodation: There are no camping facilities at the clubhouse BUT there are plenty nearby in Sedbergh. There is FREE camping though at Wigan SC who are holding their open meeting on Sunday 20 June – why not join them and make it a two-day event! Food: Hot food, including bacon butties will be on offer from 10am. A vegetarian option will also be available. Report by Nigel Reddecliffe Delph Sailing Club - 9/10th May 2009 Sponsored by Bank Top Brewery Race 1With early season apprehension 18 Miracles launched into very lively winds (4/5) at Delph on Saturday 9th May and took off promptly at 2pm. Louis Moulden (3835) managed to slip ahead of Wayne Atherton (3383) and just maintained his lead throughout. Within the first lap five boats had thoroughly tested the water temperature and left the race to 13 contenders to fight an exhausting battle. |

The weather was up to it's usual tricks at Wigan on Sunday 7th June making it hard to launch during the first race of the day and there was a few capsizes but overall a good day's sailing was had by all. The results were as follows: - |

Please note that the entry fee for the Welsh Area Championships at Bala on Saturday 23rd - Monday 25th May is £15 per boat and not £35 per boat as is stated on the NOR on Bala Sailing Clubs website. |
