about us2Situated on the southern coast on the Llŷn Peninsula in North West Wales, is Plas Heli, the Welsh National Sailing Academy. Plas Heli Cyf is a Community Enterprise, Not for Profit Distribution, Company. Llŷn Peninsula enjoys its own micro climate, thanks to the influence of the Gulf Stream, resulting in milder weather, and warmer sea temperatures. The Sailing waters around Plas Heli and Pwllheli, are renowned, as world-class waters, with unrivalled views across Tremadog Bay towards Snowdonia, making it the best location for any sea-based activity. With ample parking, for boats, cars and motorhomes, and a warm Welsh welcome, Plas Heli is the perfect location for your activities and events throughout the year. Plas Heli, is also an Events Centre, with events ranging from the National Gwyl Gerdd Dant Eisteddfod in 2016, to that of a Motor Rally, and everything in between. Plas Heli has as strong an offer for land- lovers, as it does for seafarers. Land based-events in the calendar for 2019 already boasts a cycling Sportif, Family Fun Day, 5k and 10k races and other events for the whole family, while also having the ability to cater to everyones’ needs by providing refreshments in our on-site Bar and restaurant.
